	Celeste Martin is one of Greater Cleveland's most cherished designers. Here is a little of what inspires her.   My love for vintage jewels and treasures are combined with my favorite gemstone, pearls, to design a unique colorful collection that incorporates the old with the new. Antique marcasite shoe buckles, rare coins, stamps and other found objects are all part of the passion displayed in my designs.
	One of my vivid childhood memories is being four years old and knocking on our neighbor's door, asking if I could play in the basement. You see, Mrs. Gilbreth was a seamstress and her collection of fabric, notions and, oh yes!, beads were abundant and beautiful. They transformed a dingy old basement into an opulent play palace that began my passion. Now, my play palace is my studio, a converted upstairs room where I am surrounded by colorful pearls and other beautiful objects. I think Mrs. Gilbreth would be happy to know that the annoying little girl next door has turned her passion into a successful business, transforming her own opulent collection into fashionable wearable jewels.
