	Jars and tins of vintage buttons and buckles. Pieces of old wool sweaters in all colors and sizes. Hats in various stages of completion. What is this place? Welcome to Blue Bridge Studio, the creative space of artist, Paula Singleton, whose body of work spans the creative gamut. Singleton has been incorporating vintage buttons into her one-of-a-kind jewelry for the past four years. After attending an art show in Michigan several years ago and buying her first hat, she was inspired to add the art of millinery (hat making) to her creative portfolio. Her love of everything vintage made it a natural transition. Singleton began creating at an early age. The intricate quilts and crocheted doilies her grandmother made by hand inspired her to learn both skills and her gravitation toward textiles began. Her first quilt was completed at age 16; appropriately, the pattern is called Grandmother’s Flower Garden. The quilt led to making clothing and accessories. Singleton has been recognized for her fiber and millinery work with an award for third place at the Kaleidoscope show at summit Artspace, Akron, November, 2006; best of show at the Greater Cleveland Art and Gallery Festival, September, 2006; and second place at Art-Rageous Fine Art Show, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, September, 2005.
